Responsibilities
- Build and maintain the Windows native driver, including virtual audio devices and real-time bidirectional audio routing.
- Develop the user-space desktop application, including an audio router, DOM scraper, and MCP server.
- Implement the desktop-to-cloud path over an event bus and WebSocket connection within a sub-300ms latency budget.
- Handle audio/video coexistence, enterprise mass deployment, fleet upgrades, and locked-down environments.
- Develop low-latency audio pipelines with buffering, resampling, drift management, and glitch-free capture and playback.
- Implement driver/code signing, AV/EDR coexistence, crash-dump collection, telemetry, and field crash reporting.
- Design secure least-privilege services for applications that process customer audio and screen data.
- Work in one-week sprints, demonstrate working software, and deliver against committed timelines.
Requirements
- 8+ years of systems or native development experience.
- Experience shipping a Windows desktop agent with audio at real scale, exceeding 10,000 seats.
- Mandatory strong C/C++ and Go experience.
- Experience building or interacting with drivers, virtual audio devices, virtual microphones and speakers, WASAPI/Core Audio, and kernel-adjacent hooks.
- Experience with real-time audio pipelines, buffering, resampling, clock drift, and glitch-free capture/playback under a sub-300ms budget.
- Understanding of event-driven architecture, publish/subscribe systems, WebSocket streaming, state, race conditions, locking, lock-free audio buffers, real-time threads, and priority inversion.
- Experience with MSI/installer engineering, silent deployments, and fleet upgrades across 10,000+ locked-down seats.
- Knowledge of driver/code signing, WHQL, EV certificates, and AV/EDR coexistence.
- Experience with WinDbg, minidumps, symbolized crash reporting, kernel logs, crash dumps, and audio troubleshooting.
- Understanding of secure least-privilege service design and strong systems-level debugging skills.
- Preferred macOS/Linux native experience for cross-platform desktop development.
