Responsibilities
- Develop, test, deploy, and maintain distributed payment orchestration microservices.
- Coordinate authorization, fraud holds, reverse authorization, billing, and refund workflows.
- Integrate IBM Sterling OMS with payment processors, tender systems, and other enterprise platforms.
- Build and support event-driven services across Google Cloud GKE and on-premises PCF/Cloud Foundry.
- Create functional and destructive test suites and support rapid production deployments.
- Troubleshoot high-availability distributed systems using metrics, logs, dashboards, and tracing.
- Develop monitoring, alerting, operational diagnostics, and production-support automation.
- Collaborate with product teams in agile processes and help grow junior engineers through guidance and technical discussions.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of work experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree in a related field.
- Experience building and maintaining distributed microservices in production.
- Hands-on production experience developing backend microservices with Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience designing and developing APIs and integrating external enterprise systems.
- Experience with IBM Sterling OMS configuration, customization, or integration.
- Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging technologies such as Kafka, Google Pub/Sub, or IBM MQ.
- Experience deploying containerized applications in Google Cloud Platform, including Kubernetes/GKE.
- Understanding of secure application development and data handling in transactional systems.
- Experience troubleshooting and supporting high-availability production systems.
- Preferred experience with IBM Sterling OMS enterprise integrations, Java and Spring Boot microservices, Google Cloud services, cloud-native architectures, Grafana, log analytics, automated monitoring, and distributed-system diagnostics.
