Base Salary

$141k - $249k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical and architecture discussions with researchers and engineers.
  • Mentor software engineers through code reviews, technical design reviews, and software development best practices.
  • Build and maintain interactive web tools for simulation, custom labeling, data annotation, dataset curation, result comparison, and related workflows.
  • Improve Waabi’s existing suite of software services and expand it with new tools.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and research teams using an AI-first approach to enable safe self-driving at scale.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years of industry experience developing production-quality software.
  • Experience with modern web technologies and libraries for responsive web applications, such as TypeScript and React.
  • Experience with backend technologies and languages such as Go, Python, Rust, or C++.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS or GCP.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and collaborate empathetically with tool users and teammates.
  • Preferred experience includes container and cloud infrastructure, infrastructure-as-code, 3D visualization, WebGL, D3.js, three.js, UX/design, software development tools, machine learning, self-driving, robotics, or machine learning research teams.

  • The US yearly base salary range is $141,000–$249,000, excluding additional equity incentive awards and an annual performance bonus.
