Responsibilities
- Work on an engineering team responsible for complete modules of Toast products.
- Build and maintain high-performance, flexible, scalable web and mobile applications.
- Design, estimate, implement, test, debug, configure, integrate, and document database, middle-tier, and frontend code.
- Develop AI-powered tools and machine learning models for customer, security, analytics, and data-processing use cases.
- Diagnose performance bottlenecks and implement optimizations.
- Contribute to product design, feature selection, and code reviews.
- Implement secure software development processes.
- Use AI tools to enhance development workflows and productivity.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an academic program.
- Passion for learning and interest in building software that empowers restaurants.
- Knowledge of at least one of Java development, mobile software development, SQL or NoSQL databases, RESTful microservices, HTML/CSS/JavaScript frontend development, or machine learning and/or generative AI development.
