Responsibilities
- Develop performance testing strategies, roadmaps, plans, frameworks, test scenarios, scripts, and workload models.
- Execute performance tests and monitor application behavior under realistic workloads.
- Analyze test results and production usage patterns to identify bottlenecks, scalability issues, and optimization opportunities.
- Collaborate with development, IT, DevOps, testing, analysis, and business stakeholders to configure test environments and recommend performance improvements.
- Evaluate application scalability and provide capacity planning recommendations.
- Integrate performance testing into continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines.
- Implement performance monitoring, analyze performance metrics, and proactively address performance issues.
- Create performance test reports and document testing processes, methodologies, and findings.
- Provide guidance, training, and mentorship on performance testing tools, techniques, and best practices.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience as a Performance Test Architect or in a similar performance testing and engineering role.
- Strong proficiency with Gatling, which is required, and experience with JMeter, LoadRunner, or Grafana Cloud k6.
- Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as JavaScript and Python.
- Expertise designing and implementing performance testing frameworks.
- Experience with workload modeling and performance test planning.
- Familiarity with performance monitoring and profiling tools.
- Knowledge of integrating performance testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of application performance tuning and optimization techniques.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and independent-working skills.
- Ability to mentor and guide team members in performance testing best practices.
