Responsibilities
- Work with product management to clarify requirements and explore innovative solutions.
- Design and develop optimized, performant, scalable, and secure software solutions.
- Build, troubleshoot, and performance-tune large-scale Linux-based distributed applications.
- Own software modules and provide technical leadership to a small team of junior developers.
- Ensure system quality through comprehensive unit testing and collaboration with quality assurance engineers.
- Create work breakdowns, estimates, and delivery commitments for software projects.
- Contribute to software development processes, tools, organizational culture, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or a similar field.
- At least 12 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 10 years with a master’s degree building and scaling software products in large-scale distributed systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Java, Kotlin, and Python, including design paradigms, data structures, and complex algorithms.
- Experience designing, developing, troubleshooting, and performance-tuning large-scale Linux-based distributed applications.
- Strong knowledge of network programming and protocols including Sockets, TCP/IP, UDP, SNMP, gNMI, and gRPC.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, web services, microservices, REST APIs, Kafka, Apache Airflow, and RabbitMQ.
- Experience with NoSQL, hybrid databases, and SQL.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized application deployment.
- Preferred experience with telecom, cable, PON network management applications, cloud-native architecture, Microsoft Azure, or AWS.
- Strong leadership, communication, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
