Responsibilities
- Plan, design, develop, and debug silicon bringup sequences and tests in bare-metal C/C++ on FPGA or emulators before first silicon.
- Deploy configuration sequences and validation tests on first silicon and debug issues.
- Develop automated test frameworks and Python regression suites to improve validation efficiency.
- Analyze test results and identify and debug failures and defects.
- Contribute to shared test and validation infrastructure and implement continuous improvements to test methodologies and processes.
- Collaborate with engineers across disciplines and provide feedback to architects.
- Lead, mentor, and provide technical guidance to engineering team members.
- Report project status and progress to program management.
Requirements
- Strong experience with bare-metal or embedded C/C++.
- Good knowledge of digital ASICs and post-silicon validation processes in digital ASIC environments.
- Experience with Python and Linux.
- Ability to investigate complex root causes across teams and programming languages.
- Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, analytical, and diagnostic skills.
- Driver-level experience with PCIe, Ethernet, memory technologies such as LPDDR, DDR, or HBM, or peripherals such as I2C, I3C, or SPI is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of mixed-signal building blocks including PLLs, high-speed PHYs, and IC control or communication protocols is highly desirable.
- Experience with Arm CPUs, System IP, debug tools, and AMBA protocols is desirable.
- Understanding of machine-learning applications and workloads is desirable.
- Experience in characterization, failure analysis, test development, statistical analysis, or customer support is desirable.
