Responsibilities

  • Conduct rigorous scripted and ad hoc testing to ensure software and game functionality works as intended.
  • Discover, reproduce, diagnose, document, and track functionality issues through resolution in the bug tracking database.
  • Write test scenarios, execute test cases, and accurately report feature and game status.
  • Verify live game events against design requirements and validate proper functionality.
  • Use debug, admin, and external software tools to troubleshoot and identify issues.
  • Communicate with global stakeholders and collaborate with engineering, design, and art disciplines.
  • Generate status reports, documentation, and other low-level reports for supervisors.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of software testing experience, including experience with test methodologies, procedures, and the product development lifecycle.
  • Proficiency executing test scripts and performing scripted and ad hoc testing.
  • Experience writing test scenarios, executing test cases, and logging defects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of computers and mobile devices with effective troubleshooting ability.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple complex tasks.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred experience with QTest, JIRA, game testing, web/mobile testing, and production incidents.
  • Experience working collaboratively with engineering, design, and art teams is preferred.
