Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement backend applications using Java and modern JVM technologies.
- Create solutions using Clean Code, SOLID, TDD, and DDD engineering practices.
- Integrate applications with components deployed in Kubernetes environments.
- Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and GitLab CI.
- Enable AI-assisted engineering with tools such as GitHub Copilot and review code for quality, security, and prompt patterns.
- Participate in architecture design, code reviews, agile international teamwork, and shared best practices.
- Support less-experienced engineers and share knowledge within the team.
Requirements
- Technical degree and solid software engineering foundations.
- At least 5 years of experience working with Java/JVM-based technologies.
- Experience with Spring, Hibernate, Maven, Git, Kubernetes, and Angular or React.
- Ability to write unit tests with JUnit and Mockito and work with microservice-oriented architectures.
- Experience with relational databases such as MS SQL or Oracle, or non-relational databases such as Redis or MongoDB.
- Practical CI/CD and version-control experience.
- Communicative English and German language skills at a minimum B1 level.
- Hands-on AI/GenAI experience, including practical use of LLMs, RAG patterns, and agentic workflows in production or near-production environments.
- Tech-lead experience is preferred.
