Base Salary
$160k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop foundational code-conversion capabilities used by AI agents.
- Build robust data migration, validation, and automatic testing components.
- Design APIs and backend foundations for evolving AI capabilities.
- Collaborate with the SnowConvert, AI, and Forward Deployed Engineering teams to iterate on prototypes and early products.
- Support fast, consistent migration of data, code, ETL pipelines, and related applications to Snowflake.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering experience in Python focused on performance, reliability, and distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience building agentic AI applications, particularly for computer control or code generation.
- A track record of contributions to open-source agentic frameworks such as LangChain or AutoGen.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, API design, and backend architectures.
- Ability to take ownership, navigate ambiguity, and independently move projects forward.
- Experience with Go for high-performance backend services is strongly desired.
- Understanding of big data transformation and ETL/ELT pipelines is strongly desired.
- Proficiency with tools such as Spark, Airflow, dbt, or Kafka is strongly desired.
- Familiarity with streaming architectures, event-driven systems, and asynchronous processing is strongly desired.
- Experience optimizing large-scale data pipelines for performance and cost efficiency is strongly desired.
- Founding engineers who have owned significant technical projects are highly valued.
