Base Salary
$200k - $375k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a high-reliability Linux-based operating system for the supercomputer network fabric.
- Develop and optimize high-performance device and peripheral drivers for network and compute hardware.
- Deploy, operate, debug, and root-cause production platform anomalies while improving reliability.
- Develop and improve observability and configuration-management tools.
- Collaborate with hardware teams and external partners on next-generation supercomputer hardware and bring up the OS and software stack on it.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on systems programming experience in C or C++.
- Strong operating-systems fundamentals covering scheduling, memory management, and I/O.
- Understanding of host and device computer networking, including switches and routers.
- Deep knowledge of the Linux kernel and networking stack, or transferable experience with another production-grade kernel.
- Proficiency with kernel, network, and userspace debugging tools such as ftrace, perf, Wireshark, tcpdump, eBPF, and gdb.
- Experience bringing up new hardware using bare-metal microcontroller software, JTAG, or a Linux kernel and root filesystem.
- Experience developing and optimizing device and peripheral drivers, preferably for high-speed interfaces or systems involving DMA and cache coherency.
- Understanding of Ethernet, PCIe, I2C, SPI, and other peripheral hardware interface standards.
- Experience with product security, OS and system hardening, and secure boot schemes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
