Responsibilities
- Formulate business problems into efficient, scalable AI and machine learning solutions.
- Develop and deploy machine learning algorithms, models, and computational systems in production at scale.
- Build scalable data pipelines and DevOps/MLOps workflows for model training and production.
- Customize deep learning, generative AI, and large language models for client use cases, including edge and HPC environments.
- Research and develop AI and high-performance computing algorithms, models, and simulations.
- Process large-scale datasets and implement model and knowledge storage and retrieval mechanisms.
- Monitor, alert, audit, and maintain deployed AI/ML systems, including automatic bug filing.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, engineers, architects, designers, users, and client teams to integrate solutions into production.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
- Proven experience as a machine learning engineer or scientist deploying models in production at scale.
- Experience applying computer science foundations in computer architecture, systems engineering, and programming.
- Familiarity with distributed computing, big data, high-performance computing, engineering simulations, scientific computing, grid computing, cloud computing, and distributed networks.
- Experience building and deploying AI/ML software to a cloud environment.
- Preferred proficiency in Python and Python-based AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
- Preferred experience using language model APIs and optimizing them for specific applications.
- Preferred experience with Python, C++, Java, R, and SQL.
- Preferred master's or PhD in a related field such as computer science or engineering.
- Strong communication, collaboration, client-facing, and consulting skills are preferred.
