Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary architect for new secure communications solutions and projects.
- Gather customer mission, technical, and functional requirements and integrate them into the product development process.
- Lead requirements documentation, design alternatives, solution planning, bidding, pricing, and technical execution.
- Interface with government stakeholders, cybersecurity engineers, and system integrators to align architectures with DoD Enterprise infrastructure and Zero Trust principles.
- Design and integrate classified LAN, WAN, tactical communications, and secure network architectures across unclassified through Secret and above classification levels.
- Enforce RED/BLACK separation and ensure compliance with TEMPEST emission security standards.
- Integrate Type-1 cryptographic devices, Cross Domain Solutions, and IP-based secure audio/data switches.
- Architect hybrid transport solutions using SATCOM, cellular data, radios, MANET, and related technologies.
- Apply CNSSI 5000/5002, NIST 800-53, and ICD 705 requirements.
- Coordinate with Engineering on customer requirements, schedules, timelines, compliance, and delivery.
- Monitor regulatory compliance, anticipate project delays, and develop alternative action plans.
- Assist with recruiting project personnel, assigning duties, and establishing implementation schedules.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; a master's degree in Engineering or Business Administration is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry designing military-hardened IT systems.
- Hands-on electrical engineering experience.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Ability to obtain a government security clearance required; Top Secret clearance preferred.
- Familiarity with TSG-6 TEMPEST RF Technology, networking technology, AWB-150B, EO 12114, MIL-HDBK-516C, MIL-HDBK-217Plus, MIL-HDBK-814, MIL-HDBK-344, Telcordia SR-332, MIL-HDBK-817, MIL-STD-1766C, MIL-STD-3100B, and MIL-STD-882E.
- Strong verbal and written communication, technical, conceptual, and financial skills.
- Ability to work variable hours as needed, remain stationary at a computer for extended periods, and occasionally move 5–40 pounds.
