Responsibilities
- Own technical decisions for API integration design, development, configuration, implementation, and architecture.
- Design, develop, configure, and maintain API integrations using Axway API Management solutions.
- Develop and manage REST and SOAP APIs, including policies, routing, security settings, mediation, orchestration, and data transformations.
- Configure and support Axway API Gateway components for secure and reliable API communication.
- Manage API lifecycle activities including publishing, monitoring, versioning, governance, and operational support.
- Troubleshoot API failures, connectivity issues, performance bottlenecks, logs, and production incidents.
- Collaborate with development, application, cloud, architecture, business, and cross-functional teams to deliver integrations.
- Improve API performance, reliability, automation, scalability, and operational efficiency.
- Mentor junior team members on API integration concepts, Axway tools, troubleshooting, and best practices.
Requirements
- At least 7.5 years of professional experience is required.
- At least 10 years of experience with the Axway API Management Platform is specified in the additional requirements.
- Strong proficiency in Axway API Management, Axway API Gateway, API Manager, and API lifecycle management.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing RESTful and SOAP-based APIs.
- Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, OAuth, digital certificates, encryption, API policies, transformations, routing, mediation, and service orchestration.
- Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns, middleware concepts, and cloud integration architectures.
- Experience troubleshooting API issues, analyzing logs, and optimizing API performance.
- Experience with JSON, XML, XML schemas, HTTP protocols, and web services.
- Familiarity with version control, deployment practices, SDLC processes, and Agile methodologies.
- Minimum 15 years of full-time education.
