Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and ship development tools and prototype code for R&D engineers.
- Develop and ship software for new printer features deployed to Formlabs devices in the field.
- Promote code reuse, maintainability, testing, and continuous integration.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to build customer-focused features.
Requirements
- Experience writing code that runs on hardware products.
- Programming ability in modern embedded software languages, ideally C++ and/or Python.
- Ability to implement embedded software architecture patterns for filtering, control loops, and remote procedure calls.
- Willingness to take initiative and learn from failures.
- Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly to non-software stakeholders.
