Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Windows Client environments involving DNS, DHCP, IIS, Group Policy, Terminal Services, storage, patching, and networking.
- Provide Level 3 infrastructure support and execute project tasks for systems and applications.
- Troubleshoot complex Windows Client issues, including performance problems, Blue Screen errors, drivers, and filter drivers.
- Support migration from Windows 10 to Windows 11 and resolve migration-related issues.
- Use PowerShell to script and automate administrative tasks.
- Apply security best practices, configure Windows Firewall, and implement Windows security capabilities.
- Collaborate with Customer Success Account Managers to scope, plan, and deliver customer engagements.
- Provide architectural guidance and proactive technical assistance to enterprise Microsoft customers.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in systems architecture, administration, operations, software support, or IT consulting.
- 8+ years of on-premises support or consulting for an enterprise customer base.
- 8+ years of advanced troubleshooting experience.
- Advanced experience with supported Windows Client versions and Windows Client management.
- Experience with DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, Terminal Services, Windows performance analysis, storage, patching, networking, and Windows Firewall.
- Strong PowerShell scripting and automation capabilities.
- Understanding of Windows 10/11 security features, including Secure Boot, Device Guard, Application Guard, Windows Hello, and TPM.
- Experience diagnosing Blue Screen errors and understanding drivers and filter drivers.
- Experience with FSLogix, self-managed data centers, Windows Defender, Intune, and Autopilot is preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft certifications are preferred.
- A BA/BS in Business, Communications, or Information Technology, or equivalent experience, is highly preferred.
- Strong customer service, communication, independent working, problem-solving, organization, and attention-to-detail skills.
