Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance and expertise to engineering teams while promoting software engineering best practices.
- Design and implement complex, scalable, and maintainable software and AI/ML solutions.
- Act as the primary code-level reviewer and hands-on architect for complex AI/ML systems and frameworks.
- Define and enforce AI/ML technology roadmaps, strategies, standards, and best practices across the organization.
- Research and guide context and prompt engineering techniques and translate successful research into reusable engineering frameworks.
- Architect and maintain data pipelines and data-processing workflows for model training and tuning using cloud services.
- Implement and champion MLOps tools and practices for production deployment of machine learning models and LLMs.
- Agentize existing front-end and back-end systems using agentic frameworks and integrate them through A2A and MCP protocols.
- Partner with product, business, engineering, and other cross-functional stakeholders to integrate AI/ML solutions into products and services.
- Mentor and coach junior, mid-level, and senior engineers on AI/ML techniques, architecture, and best practices.
- Contribute to strategic planning, product roadmaps, policy, resource planning, and organization-wide technical initiatives.
- Provide expert advice to senior management and influence strategic decisions, standards, and long-term technology direction.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related discipline.
- 12+ years of experience in software engineering, data science, or analytics.
- 5+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering or related fields.
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing highly scalable, production-grade AI/ML platforms and systems.
- Deep understanding of large language models, including LLM training and fine-tuning.
- Hands-on experience with GenAI and agentic AI frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, Strands SDK, or Google ADK.
- Familiarity with MCP and A2A protocols.
- Expertise in deep learning, natural language processing, reinforcement learning, and large language models.
- Proficiency in Python, R, or other programming languages used for data analysis and AI/ML development.
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools and practices, including Git, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience establishing and enforcing AI/ML best practices, standards, and ethics is preferred.
- Knowledge of banking, financial products, and financial services is preferred.
- A PhD in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or a related discipline is preferred.
