Base Salary

$97k - $145k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and build scalable, high-performance Oracle database solutions using PL/SQL packages, stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, materialized views, and sequences.
  • Develop and maintain ETL workflows, data transformation pipelines, validation frameworks, and batch-processing solutions.
  • Create database migration scripts, schema updates, and automated deployment packages.
  • Tune database performance through execution-plan analysis, indexing, partitioning, optimizer statistics, and Oracle diagnostic tools.
  • Build database unit, regression, and data-validation tests for SQL, PL/SQL, ETL, and migration changes.
  • Integrate database solutions into CI/CD pipelines with automated testing, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Use GitHub Copilot and similar AI-powered development assistants for development, review, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
  • Partner with business analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on Oracle development experience delivering complex production database solutions.
  • Advanced SQL and PL/SQL proficiency, including complex queries, table design, data analysis, and table partitioning.
  • Practical experience with database performance tuning, execution-plan analysis, indexing, partitioning, and Oracle monitoring and diagnostic tools.
  • Exposure to OCI, AWS, or Azure and cloud-hosted database architectures and deployment models.
  • Ability to work iteratively in sprint-based development workflows and collaborate across engineering, business, and analytical teams.
  • Oracle Certification is preferred.
  • Familiarity with MongoDB or SQL Server is beneficial.
  • Experience with Git and automated deployment and release processes is beneficial.
  • Exposure to Starburst or comparable data virtualization platforms is beneficial.
  • Python development skills supporting database workflows, automation, or data engineering are beneficial.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; Citi will not sponsor U.S. work authorization for this role.
  • Candidates must live within commuting distance of Tampa or be willing to relocate.
