Responsibilities
- Build and manage cloud platforms supporting ongoing projects.
- Create reliable systems and services using automation and Infrastructure-as-Code.
- Partner with development teams to improve workflows through testing and release procedures.
- Provide expertise in networks, security, and databases.
- Gather and analyse operating-system and application metrics for performance tuning and fault finding.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience building or operating systems on cloud, virtualised, or on-premises infrastructure.
- Hands-on Infrastructure-as-Code experience with Terraform or CloudFormation and a configuration-management or automation tool such as Ansible.
- Ability to build and deploy versioned containers into a container orchestration service.
- Coding or scripting experience with at least one of Python, Golang, JavaScript, or Bash.
- Awareness of secure system design and frameworks such as the NCSC Cloud Security Principles or equivalent.
- Ability to improve system reliability, security, and maintainability through engineering practices.
- Desirable experience includes compute, networking, storage, identity management, multi-account or multi-tenant environments, observability tools, GitOps, and Linux systems.
- Candidates must be eligible for SC clearance.
