Responsibilities
- Define the technical roadmap, target-state architecture, engineering standards, and guardrails for the Engineering Data Platform.
- Lead delivery of scalable, resilient, secure, and cloud-native data platform capabilities.
- Create trusted, governed, reusable engineering data products, metrics, dashboards, and engineering intelligence.
- Ensure data quality, lineage, privacy, compliance, security, and risk controls.
- Champion DevSecOps, DataOps, automation, observability, reliability, and engineering excellence.
- Influence senior stakeholders and translate business, risk, and technology needs into measurable outcomes.
- Enable AI, machine learning data, automation, and data-driven engineering use cases.
- Mentor engineers and uplift engineering capability, practices, and inclusive engineering culture.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in senior engineering leadership roles.
- Deep expertise in cloud-native data platforms or engineering platforms.
- Experience with data platform architecture, including lakehouse, data mesh, and domain-aligned data products.
- Experience with data engineering and DataOps, including ingestion, testing, observability, and delivery automation.
- Experience with AWS, containers, serverless platforms, and infrastructure as code.
- Knowledge of data quality, lineage, privacy, compliance, secure software lifecycles, and risk-based decision-making.
- Experience delivering engineering intelligence through metrics, dashboards, and reusable data patterns.
- Experience enabling data for machine learning, automation, and AI use cases.
- Experience with APIs, integration, developer experience, monitoring, SLAs, and incident management.
- Proven delivery in regulated environments, strong architectural judgment, senior stakeholder influence, and the ability to make decisions in ambiguity.
- Ability to set technical direction, lead complex architectural decisions, coach engineers, and deliver outcomes across reliability, productivity, and risk.
