Responsibilities
- Define the technical strategy, roadmap, target-state architecture and engineering guardrails for the Engineering Data Platform.
- Lead delivery of scalable, resilient and secure cloud-native data platform capabilities.
- Deliver trusted, governed engineering data products, metrics, dashboards and engineering intelligence.
- Establish data quality, lineage, privacy, compliance, security and risk management practices.
- Champion DevSecOps, DataOps, automation, observability, reliability and engineering excellence.
- Influence senior stakeholders across engineering, data, architecture, risk, security and service management.
- Enable AI, machine learning data, automation and data-driven engineering use cases.
- Mentor engineers and uplift engineering capability, practices and inclusive engineering culture.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in senior engineering leadership roles.
- Deep expertise in cloud-native data platforms or engineering platforms.
- Experience with lakehouse architectures, data mesh and domain-aligned data products.
- Experience with data ingestion, DataOps, testing, observability and engineering intelligence.
- Experience with AWS, containers, serverless technologies and infrastructure as code.
- Knowledge of data quality, lineage, privacy, compliance, secure software lifecycles and risk-based decision-making.
- Experience with APIs, integration, developer experience, monitoring, service-level agreements and incident management.
- Ability to translate business, risk and technology needs into strategy and influence senior stakeholders.
- Proven delivery experience in regulated environments.
- Ability to lead complex architectural decisions, work through ambiguity and mentor engineering teams.
