Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain internal tools, services, and APIs supporting developer workflows, CI/CD, and deployment orchestration.
- Implement and support platform services integrating with GitHub, ArgoCD, Argo Workflows, Codefresh, Kubernetes, and cloud environments.
- Define and evolve engineering standards, reusable workflows, golden paths, governance models, and self-service capabilities.
- Write clean, tested, maintainable code and participate in code reviews and design discussions.
- Collaborate with Application Engineering, SDET, Security, and Cloud teams to embed quality, governance, and operational controls.
- Debug platform-service issues and continuously improve developer experience and engineering productivity.
- Contribute to external integrations with sister companies, affiliate partners, and third-party vendors.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in software engineering, production-grade applications, internal tools, or developer-facing services.
- Solid JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js programming experience, plus experience with modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Experience building and consuming web services, REST APIs, webhooks, and event-driven integrations.
- Understanding of software design fundamentals, testing, code reviews, and maintainable scalable software.
- Working knowledge of SQL, microservices, Kubernetes, preferably GKE, Docker, CI/CD, Git workflows, and modern software delivery practices.
- Cloud development experience, especially with GCP; AWS and/or Azure experience is a plus.
- Preferred experience includes developer tooling, internal platforms, developer portals, GitHub, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Argo Workflows, Codefresh, platform observability, engineering metrics, developer productivity, Python, SonarQube, NexusIQ, container or code security platforms, policy-as-code, governance automation, or DevSecOps workflows.
- Strong communication, collaboration, ownership, learning orientation, process-improvement mindset, and alignment with Priceline’s values and ethics are required.
