Base Salary

$120k - $160k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Deliver, integrate, and support Apex’s software-enabled non-bus products, including virtual flatsats, bus emulators, EGSE test racks, and related test tools.
  • Serve as the primary technical software interface for customers across Apex vehicles and customer integration environments.
  • Support flight software and ground software compatibility and help customers bring Apex-provided tools online.
  • Answer customer technical questions and troubleshoot software and system-level issues directly in lab, integration, and customer environments.
  • Coordinate issue resolution with internal software, systems, avionics, and product engineering teams.
  • Work hands-on at customer sites and travel as needed to support deployments.
  • Define processes, documentation, escalation paths, and the operating model for scaling customer deployments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Strong software engineering background building, debugging, integrating, or supporting software-enabled technical products.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex technical systems in laboratory, integration, production, field, or customer environments.
  • Ability to support compatibility across flight software, ground software, test tools, and customer integration environments.
  • Experience with Linux, Python, C/C++, networking, test automation, APIs, or similar technical tools.
  • Ability to interpret and support implementation of software Interface Control Documents, system diagrams, test procedures, and related technical documentation.
  • Strong customer-facing communication skills for explaining technical issues to engineering and non-engineering audiences.
  • Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites as needed.
  • Preferred experience with aerospace, spacecraft, satellites, avionics, ground systems, EGSE, or mission operations.
  • Preferred experience supporting virtual flatsats, bus emulators, EGSE test racks, or similar laboratory engineering systems.
  • Preferred experience with hardware/software integration, system testing, or field deployment of technical products.
  • Preferred experience in field applications engineering, solutions engineering, deployed engineering, systems engineering, or another customer-facing technical role.
  • Familiarity with spacecraft bus architectures, flight software, ground software, telemetry, command and control systems, or EGSE.
  • Experience coordinating customer technical clarifications with internal software, systems, avionics, or product engineering teams.
  • Experience tracking changes and updates to software-related customer documentation.
  • Interest in defining and growing a new technical function.
