Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain secure full-stack web applications, APIs, services, integrations, and data-access layers.
- Build responsive, accessible, user-centered front-end experiences and robust back-end services.
- Design data models, develop queries, optimize performance, and support integrations across relational and NoSQL databases.
- Translate requirements, wireframes, and design specifications into scalable technical designs and production-quality software.
- Participate in requirements analysis, architecture, implementation, code review, testing, deployment, documentation, and production support.
- Develop automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues across user interfaces, APIs, services, integrations, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
- Develop, deploy, and operate applications in cloud-native environments with monitoring, logging, and observability practices.
- Partner with infrastructure, platform, and security teams on cloud operations, security, privacy, and resilience standards.
- Contribute to technology, framework, tooling, and engineering-practice decisions.
- Mentor team members, provide technical guidance, and champion engineering standards and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Web Design, or a directly related field from an accredited college or university is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 5 years of directly related experience is required.
- Strong full-stack development expertise across front-end, back-end, APIs, databases, and integrations.
- Strong proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, modern front-end frameworks, and responsive web development.
- Strong back-end development experience with Java, Python, .NET, or comparable languages and frameworks.
- Experience designing, developing, securing, and supporting RESTful APIs, application services, and system integrations.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including data modeling, query development, and performance tuning.
- Experience designing, building, deploying, and operating scalable applications in cloud-native environments.
- Knowledge of containers, automated testing, infrastructure as code, monitoring, logging, observability, and major cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of secure software development, application security, authentication and authorization patterns, and common web application vulnerabilities.
- Knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, algorithms, data structures, web technologies, protocols, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Ability to support reliable, production-quality applications for large and demanding user audiences.
- Knowledge of accessibility, usability, responsive design, human-computer interaction, and interaction design patterns.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, mentoring, and technical-influence skills.
