Base Salary
$95k - $120k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, debug, test, and optimize high-performance desktop and systems software in modern C++.
- Build multithreaded applications that concurrently control industrial robotic components.
- Develop software processes that communicate through inter-process communication methods.
- Work across software layers from databases to hardware controls and third-party systems.
- Add automated unit and regression testing to a legacy codebase.
- Produce well-tested, readable, maintainable code and clear architecture, design, and interface documentation.
- Collaborate on new and existing warehouse automation products within Agile/SAFe development teams.
- Manage source code, communicate technical ideas, and contribute to future product innovations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong proficiency in modern C++, including C++17/20, for desktop and systems software development.
- Understanding of object-oriented design, software architecture, design patterns, operating systems, computer architecture, and hardware/software interaction.
- Experience developing multithreaded applications using synchronization primitives and concurrent programming techniques.
- Knowledge of memory management, performance optimization, low-level debugging, and performance-critical software development.
- Ability to design, implement, debug, and optimize software.
- Experience working in Agile software development environments and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Preferred experience with real-time or embedded software, the C++ Standard Template Library, Boost libraries, C++ unit testing frameworks, profiling and performance analysis tools, warehouse automation, robotics, industrial automation, machine control, or hardware and real-time control system interfaces.
- Strong communication, collaboration, ownership, self-motivation, and continuous-learning skills.
