Base Salary
$144k - $248k/yr
Responsibilities
- Work on multi-tenant distributed storage systems, balancing strategic goals with engineering needs.
- Build reliable services and infrastructure that are resilient, fault-tolerant, and self-healing.
- Identify and configure key metrics to monitor service health, availability, and performance.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to resolve storage infrastructure issues.
- Become an expert in infrastructure performance, optimizing from application level to kernel.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in software development and operating distributed systems.
- Proficiency in Python, Go, or a similar programming language.
- Experience operating or supporting stateful storage or database systems at scale.
- Strong customer-focused mindset and value for efficiency in processes.
- Experience with containerization technologies, particularly Kubernetes.
- Expertise in cloud infrastructure platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Understanding of Linux internals and networking concepts.
