Responsibilities

  • Gather requirements from non-technical stakeholders and translate them into code and actionable development work.
  • Build back-end services, cloud-based microservices, and enterprise integrations for clinical and analytic applications.
  • Develop applications involving data warehousing, big data, business intelligence, analytics, and machine learning.
  • Ensure services meet uptime and accuracy targets and remain resilient and scalable as traffic and data volumes increase.
  • Collaborate with data engineering, platform, solutions, product, architecture, and business stakeholder teams.
  • Participate in DevOps, Agile, continuous development, and continuous integration practices.
  • Develop deployment automation and configuration management using specified tools.
  • Create and maintain process and source-code documentation.
  • Perform expert-level troubleshooting, system and data investigation, and root-cause analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or an associate degree in those fields with two additional years of relevant experience.
  • At least one year of software engineering experience with internships, or two years of experience coding applications or services in a high-level language.
  • Experience with modern application development frameworks and professional software engineering practices across the software development life cycle.
  • Knowledge of coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Experience with Agile software development techniques.
  • Strong technical aptitude for designing and implementing software solutions, problem-solving skills, time-management skills, and strong verbal and written communication.
  • Preferred: experience with open-source technologies, cloud-based services, Google and Azure cloud environments, databases, analytics, big data systems, business intelligence products, scalable distributed systems, healthcare software, business analysis, and enterprise systems of record and review-workflow integrations.
