Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain BMC software solutions for products.
- Implement firmware functions that communicate with peripherals through SPI, I2C, UART, and other low-level protocols.
- Perform code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and hardware debugging to ensure reliable software.
- Develop and maintain design specifications, user manuals, release notes, and other documentation.
- Port BMC software to multiple hardware platforms.
Requirements
- BMC product and stack software solution experience is required.
- Understanding of server power management through BMC is required.
- At least 5 years of C++ coding experience in Linux applications, including design and code-tracing skills.
- Hardware debugging experience is required.
- Knowledge of I2C, PMBUS, SPI, UART, JTAG, and GPIO is required.
- Understanding of BMC IPMI 2.0, including IPMI Messaging, SDR, SEL, FRU, SOL, IPMB, LAN, KCS, event logs, PEF, ME, NM, and PECI.
- Experience with MCTP and PLDM is required.
- Experience porting BMC software to multiple hardware platforms is required.
- Experience with AMI SPX/OneTree is preferred.
- Experience with DCSCM cards is preferred.
