Base Salary

$150k - $206k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product owners, architects, developers, and cross-functional teams to deliver features from concept through deployment.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Develop, maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance scalable Leap platform services and systems.
  • Own development tasks, contribute to moderately complex technical solutions, and resolve bugs through code and system-level analysis.
  • Write maintainable, documented code and participate in peer code reviews.
  • Mentor junior and intermediate developers and support their technical growth.
  • Support performance tuning, scalability improvements, and high availability and reliability of the platform.
  • Identify blockers, collaborate on resolutions, participate in the annual hackathon, and join the on-call rotation after demonstrating sufficient system knowledge.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
  • Proficiency in Python for automation, scripting, and application development.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and consuming REST APIs.
  • Experience with Git workflows, including branching, merging, and pull requests.
  • Experience developing software in a Linux environment.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, algorithms, asynchronous programming, and performance optimization techniques.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, self-motivation, adaptability, and willingness to learn.
  • Bonus: experience with Golang or Rust, HPC environments, workload managers such as Slurm, PBS, or PBS Pro, and heterogeneous hardware integration.
  • Bonus: experience with AI-assisted development tools, AI-powered productivity solutions, CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Spinnaker, AWS, Kubernetes, Argo CD, and production incident response or operational support.
  • Ability to pass a Tier 2 background investigation and hold or qualify for a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
