Base Salary
$130k - $270k/yr
Responsibilities
- Integrate systems and enhance, optimize, and improve the robustness of existing codebases.
- Define, build, and manage virtual cloud infrastructure using infrastructure as code and modern tooling.
- Design and implement core software architecture and capabilities from prototype through operational applications.
- Develop custom software components and integrate open-source code for complex time series analysis and big data applications.
- Identify and solve problems autonomously while contributing to broader team strategies set by architects.
Requirements
- At least 9 years of Platform Engineering or Software Development experience with a related bachelor's degree, or 7 years of relevant experience with a related master's degree, or 13 years of relevant experience with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience developing infrastructure in AWS.
- Strong understanding of Linux systems, hosts, networks, security, and applications, with proficiency in Shell/Bash scripting.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret-level U.S. Government security clearance.
- Ability to obtain Security+ certification within 60 days of hire.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment in the Columbia, Maryland office an average of 1–2 days per week.
- Preferred experience includes TS/SCI clearance, DISA Big Data Platform or comparable big data systems, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, standard software development tools, Puppet, Ansible, Maven, virtualization platforms, and DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II compliance certifications.
