Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain software for Fortinet’s TLS stack and Unified Threat Management feature set.
  • Track developments in application-layer protocols and software practices and recommend improvements.
  • Promote strong coding and software design practices within the team.
  • Suggest product improvements based on hands-on use of Fortinet products.
  • Research and define technologies that enhance current and future products and reassess existing implementations as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience developing software in C, C++, Golang, or Rust.
  • Experience developing software in Linux or UNIX-like environments.
  • Knowledge of TLS, TCP/IP, POSIX APIs, and socket programming.
  • Familiarity with source control systems such as Git.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
