Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver scalable, maintainable, performant, and secure software solutions.
- Build end-to-end solutions across UI, API, and data layers using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and React/Next.js.
- Evolve infrastructure and deployment pipelines to support robust, scalable, and resilient digital solutions.
- Develop and integrate APIs and operate CI/CD pipelines using modern software engineering practices.
- Implement automated unit testing, observability, monitoring, logging, troubleshooting, and secure coding practices.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, and engineering teams to define requirements and deliver business outcomes.
- Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, mentoring, technical communities, and engineering excellence initiatives.
- Apply risk management, control strengthening, policy adherence, and incident response practices.
- Lead and supervise team members where applicable, including allocating work and supporting professional development.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in software engineering with a proven record of delivering enterprise-scale applications.
- Strong full-stack development experience with Java 21+, Spring Boot 3.x, Angular, and React/Next.js.
- Experience designing and building cloud-native, scalable, and resilient applications.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted software engineering tools including GitLab Duo, GitHub Copilot, Claude, and AI development agents.
- Proficiency in API development and integration, CI/CD pipelines, Git, SonarQube, Wiz, Kafka, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
- Experience with automated testing, observability, monitoring, logging, troubleshooting, and cloud operations tools.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and influence technical decisions.
- Understanding of Agile delivery, sprint planning, estimation, and end-to-end feature ownership.
- Financial Services, Corporate Banking, or other highly regulated environment experience is desirable.
- Experience with AI-driven software development, Spec-Driven Development methodologies, observability metrics, cybersecurity, secure-by-design practices, risk management, and incident response is desirable.
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, leadership, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing skills are desirable.
