$293k - $585k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop retrieval and search algorithms and methodologies in collaboration with the research team.
- Work on document search, enterprise search, knowledge retrieval, and web-scale search problems.
- Deploy search methodologies into production across the OpenAI API and ChatGPT.
- Explore novel retrieval and search research topics that may inform medium- and long-term product strategy.
- Partner with researchers, engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver features and research capabilities.
- Contribute to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace culture.
Requirements
- Extensive prior experience building and maintaining production machine learning systems.
- Prior experience with vector databases, search indices, or other data stores for search and retrieval use cases.
- Prior experience building and iterating on internet-scale search systems.
- Ability to own problems end-to-end and learn missing knowledge as needed.
- Ability to move quickly in a loosely defined environment with competing priorities or deadlines.
