Base Salary
$95k - $105k/yr
Responsibilities
- Capture business requirements and translate them into technical solutions, integrations, system designs, tests, transformations, and reports.
- Develop quick functional prototypes and identify manual and automated tests for data and functionality using SQL, Python, and other relevant technologies.
- Onboard new datasets, including structured and unstructured data, and validate data quality.
- Work with internal data sources and external vendors to investigate and remedy data exceptions and irregularities.
- Create and maintain task boards, use cases, application documentation, release notes, and technical writeups.
- Build working relationships with investment teams, platform users, developers, vendors, suppliers, QA, researchers, and IT teams.
- Support end-to-end solutions within the firm’s cloud-based data analytics platform.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree, or equivalent experience.
- One to three years of business analyst experience in the investment management or FinTech industry preferred.
- Proficiency in SQL and data analysis, with an understanding of conceptual and logical data modeling.
- Proficiency in Python for rapid prototyping.
- Experience onboarding large structured and unstructured datasets while validating quality.
- Experience with investment data management, especially IBOR or other book-of-records systems.
- Experience completing high-intensity, high-complexity projects.
- Experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent.
- Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD practices, and related tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, facilitation, interpersonal, communication, collaboration, flexibility, and learning skills.
