Responsibilities
- Design scalable and performant applications, systems, and infrastructure for large software projects using MongoDB.
- Guide customers on architecture patterns, optimization strategies, modernization, and the business value of MongoDB.
- Lead technical discovery, demonstrations, proofs of value, presentations, sizing, and technical documentation for sales opportunities.
- Collaborate with sales teams on account planning, opportunity qualification, prioritization, pipeline generation, and multi-threaded account strategy.
- Generate demand through technical initiatives, industry trade shows, and account-based marketing events.
- Build customer relationships, develop champions, and support customer success and satisfaction.
- Relay field feedback to the product team and mentor other Solutions Consulting team members.
- Maintain product and industry expertise through ongoing training and professional development.
Requirements
- Ideally 8–11 years of related experience in a customer-facing role, including 5–7 years of enterprise software pre-sales experience.
- At least 3 years of professional experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python, Node.js, SQL, C/C++, Java, or C#.
- Experience designing scalable and highly available distributed systems in cloud and on-premises environments.
- Experience reviewing complex application architectures with customers and recommending technology improvements.
- Strong presentation, communication, interpersonal, technical discovery, and business-concept communication skills.
- Ability to strategize with sales teams and coordinate MongoDB and ecosystem resources around account plans.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Preferred qualifications include experience selling databases, deploying applications with major cloud providers, database programming, data models, data engineering, AI/ML projects, legacy modernization, MongoDB Certification, and cloud provider certification.
- Familiarity with MEDDPICC, Command of the Message, or similar sales frameworks is preferred.
