Base Salary
$197k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems for regulatory and risk management needs.
- Develop and deploy cloud-based, AI-powered proprietary risk management solutions with the GRC team and cross-company partners.
- Use full-stack programming languages, databases, messaging systems, containers, serverless services, and AWS tools to build solutions.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams and establish standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Partner with architects to define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks.
- Identify opportunities for refactoring, technical debt reduction, and distributed-system performance improvement.
- Influence long-term technology strategy by evaluating emerging tools and practices in a you-build-it-you-own-it environment.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to internal and external technology communities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, 7+ years coding with more than two listed programming technologies, and 3+ years with databases and database management systems.
- Preferred experience includes 3+ years with AWS, GCP, Azure, cloud productivity tools, or virtualization technologies; 4+ years with open source frameworks; and 4+ years creating synchronous and asynchronous APIs.
- Preferred experience includes 3+ years with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing frameworks, Git-based version control, and cloud troubleshooting.
- Preferred experience includes mentoring engineers, using observability to optimize distributed-system performance, leading cross-functional engineering initiatives, establishing coding standards and design patterns, and using Spec-Driven Development.
- Experience with interactive AI tooling beyond basic code completion is preferred.

- The posted annual base salary ranges by location from $179,400 to $225,100, with actual pay determined by work location and reflected in the offer letter.
