Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and support distributed microservices and platform applications.
- Translate functional and technical requirements into scalable, supportable cloud-native solutions.
- Build APIs, integration components, event-driven services, and reusable platform capabilities.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, lead engineers, and peer developers on enterprise solutions.
- Contribute to technical designs, code reviews, testing, debugging, documentation, and engineering practices.
- Improve logging, monitoring, instrumentation, automation, and operational health across services.
- Provide hands-on production support for distributed systems and contribute to continuous engineering improvements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of engineering experience with substantial frontend and backend experience.
- Experience building end-to-end products using Java, Spring Boot, Kotlin, React, and Next.js or comparable technologies.
- Experience with microservices, distributed systems, real-time streaming architectures, and serverless patterns.
- Practical experience with AWS services and modern 12-factor application design.
- Experience with logging, testing, security, instrumentation, troubleshooting, and production support for observable systems.
- Understanding of version control practices including branching, merging, and code reviews.
- Preferred experience with Kafka, AWS Kinesis, AWS EventBridge, AWS API Gateway, MuleSoft, Apigee, streaming and integration infrastructure, reusable frameworks, or developer enablement tools.
- Kafka, Kinesis, or MuleSoft certification or deep understanding is preferred.
