Base Salary
$294k - $515k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and improve backend systems and statistical models underlying the ads marketplace
- Define and implement experiments to understand long-term marketplace effects
- Develop strategies that balance long- and short-term business objectives
- Develop the vision for the evolution of the Pinterest marketplace
- Improve the ads delivery funnel, utility function, auction mechanisms, and ad allocation
- Derive new insights by analyzing marketplace dynamics
- Drive cross-functional collaboration to improve marketplace design and operations
Requirements
- MS or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field
- 8+ years of industry experience
- 2+ years of experience leading projects or teams
- Strong software engineering and mathematical skills
- Knowledge of statistical methods
- Hands-on experience with large-scale online e-commerce systems is a plus
- Background in computational advertising is preferred but not required
