Responsibilities
- Design and build future-proof solutions while considering system-wide impact.
- Develop solutions from idea through implementation in collaboration with senior engineers.
- Estimate, plan, track, and manage project progress, risks, and dependencies.
- Gather and refine requirements and release software on schedule.
- Identify, reproduce, and remediate bugs with the technical support team.
- Build and deliver features using agentic tooling, including custom skills, agents, and harnesses.
- Contribute prompts, skills, and workflow improvements to the AI-enabled developer experience.
- Perform other duties required by management.
Requirements
- BSc or MSc in Computer Science or a related qualification, or commercial experience developing in C#, Java, or another object-oriented programming language.
- At least five years of hands-on commercial programming experience on the .NET platform using C# and ASP.NET MVC.
- Experience with design patterns, refactoring, object-oriented design, and related practices.
- Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants and agentic engineering workflows.
- Experience building web services with Web API.
- Understanding of database design and development.
- Hands-on experience with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and jQuery.
- Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Experience with source-control tools including TFS, SVN, or Git.
- Legal right to work in the UK.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, work ethic, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Desirable experience includes Azure Functions and queues, custom agent skills, harnesses, MCP servers, prompt libraries, AI-code evaluations and guardrails, testing methodologies, Lean software development, CI/CD systems, Bootstrap, .NET Core, Entity Framework Code First migrations, Claude or Claude Code, and financial services.
