Base Salary
$230k - $262k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Design and implement large-scale, distributed, cloud-native systems with high reliability and performance requirements.
- Provide technical leadership across multiple teams and shape system architecture and long-term technology direction.
- Collaborate with digital product managers, architects, and product leaders to deliver cloud-based solutions and define platform roadmaps and shared-services strategy.
- Mentor engineering community members and senior engineers while driving professional development within technical teams.
- Establish coding standards, design patterns, observability practices, reliability practices, and enterprise-wide technical standards.
- Lead architectural design reviews and cross-functional engineering efforts or large-scale technical initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or a related quantitative field is required.
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience is required; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 3 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies is required.
- Preferred qualifications include 9+ years coding with multiple languages, 5+ years with open-source frameworks and front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, and 5+ years creating synchronous and asynchronous APIs.
- Preferred experience includes databases, AWS/GCP/Azure, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing frameworks, Git-based version control, cloud troubleshooting, observability, reliability, and distributed-system performance optimization.
- Preferred experience includes mentoring senior engineers, leading architectural reviews, enforcing coding standards, influencing technology strategy, and leading cross-functional or large-scale technical initiatives.
- Experience with modern AI-based coding tools, IDE copilots, and interactive AI productivity tooling is preferred.
