Base Salary

$220k - $325k/yr

Responsibilities

Define and execute technology vision and architecture strategy across S&P DJI's full technology stack.
Evaluate and pilot emerging technologies, including agentic AI, and guide strategic technology investments.
Drive collaboration with Product, Platform, Quality Engineering, and Architecture teams across the product development lifecycle.
Establish measurable outcomes and evaluation frameworks for new technical capabilities.
Partner with Risk, Compliance, and Internal Audit to support regulatory compliance in a benchmark environment.
Develop reusable patterns, standards, coaching, and hands-on technical partnerships to build engineering capability and influence adoption.

10+ years of hands-on senior software engineering experience with a record of identifying and adopting forward-looking technologies.
Deep current expertise in agentic AI systems, including LLM-based agents, orchestration frameworks, tool integration, and evaluation methodologies, with proven production implementation experience.
Strong software and systems engineering foundations across architecture design, quality engineering, CI/CD pipelines, and platform development.
Experience setting technical direction, influencing architecture decisions, and driving organizational change as a senior technical individual contributor.
Executive-level communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts to CTOs, risk committees, and senior engineering teams.
Strong technical judgment in evaluating new technologies, assessing risk, and making candid recommendations.
Preferred experience in financial services, market data, index administration, or other regulated, high-accuracy domains.
Preferred familiarity with data quality and validation at scale, AI risk frameworks, model risk management, or technology governance.
Preferred track record across multiple major technology shifts and active engagement through open-source contributions, technical publications, or public technical presence.

New York City-based role.
Anticipated base salary range of $220,000 to $325,000 for US candidates, plus eligibility for an annual incentive plan.
