Associate Engineer - Embedded Software Engineering

- Ideate, prototype, and deliver embedded software solutions for advanced automotive audio experiences.
- Define system architecture and lead implementation of Android-based software and middleware solutions.
- Develop multimedia, user-experience, and platform-ready software for branded automotive audio systems.
- Collaborate with cross-brand teams, domain teams, customers, external partners, and globally distributed stakeholders.
- Contribute to innovative concepts, patents, intellectual property, strategic partnerships, customer engagements, and industry events.
- Mentor team members and support delivery and people-management activities.
- Research emerging automotive software technologies and support global product launch timelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of Android systems, components, middleware, application frameworks, and the Android SDK.
- Strong proficiency in native C/C++ programming and multithreaded programming.
- Experience with JNI, Binder/AIDL/HIDL, MQTT, socket communication, IPC, and operating system concepts.
- Experience with multimedia frameworks, media sources, content management, media playback, and Android music players; ExoPlayer is preferred.
- Experience developing responsive applications across different display resolutions.
- Experience with cloud interfaces including OAuth and REST APIs.
- Strong debugging skills using Logcat and ADB, plus experience with third-party libraries, APIs, Gradle, and Android build systems.
- Experience with Gerrit, Git, Bamboo, Bitbucket, Jira, and related development platforms.
- Knowledge of MVVM, MVC, MVP, UML diagrams, CMMI, or ASPICE is beneficial.
- Automotive domain knowledge, globally distributed collaboration, and matrix-organization experience are beneficial.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks.
