Base Salary
$220k - $275k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and delivery of platform capabilities across cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, observability, CI/CD, and developer tooling.
- Own end-to-end execution of complex multi-quarter initiatives from architecture and design through deployment and refinement.
- Partner with engineering teams to improve service reliability, scalability, and performance in cloud-native environments.
- Contribute to incident response and resolution and improve availability and system stability.
- Advocate for software delivery, infrastructure management, and operational best practices.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to the team’s engineering culture and technical direction.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and bring innovative platform solutions to the team.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading and delivering complex cross-team, multi-quarter initiatives.
- Experience breaking complex work into achievable milestones and delivering predictably using agile practices.
- Strong software engineering background with backend development and distributed-systems experience.
- Deep understanding of AWS and cloud-native architectures.
- Proficiency with Terraform, CloudFormation, and automation.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and developer productivity tooling.
- Deep production expertise with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Strong knowledge of observability, including logging, metrics, and tracing, with experience improving visibility and reliability.
- Experience with incident management and operational practices for large-scale systems.
- Proficiency in Go or Python.
- Ability to collaborate across teams, communicate complex topics clearly, and influence engineering practices.
- Preferred experience includes global service scaling, FinOps or cloud cost management, regulated or high-availability environments, Java or Kotlin, GitHub Actions, Kafka, and Cassandra.
