Base Salary
$388k - $619k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and build robust, scalable, highly available distributed infrastructure.
- Develop and operate scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems and high-performance data storage solutions.
- Build features and performance enhancements for distributed data processing and caching platforms.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and technical program managers on cross-functional initiatives.
- Contribute to open source communities and Netflix OSS.
- Support data processing, analytics, storage, and mission-critical Netflix services at extreme scale.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience crafting complex, scalable distributed data infrastructure.
- Proficiency in Java, C++, Golang, or Python with a solid understanding of multithreading and memory management.
- A proven track record of developing and maintaining high-impact systems.
- Experience building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems.
- BS in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience with Spark, Presto or Trino, Druid, Iceberg, and distributed database systems is sought for the Big Data Compute team.
