Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and regression suites for Dragonfly software and APIs.
- Create test plans, procedures, test cases, and requirements traceability matrices aligned with system requirements and mission use cases.
- Collaborate with software, hardware, and systems engineers to define acceptance criteria, identify defects, and support CI/CD quality activities.
- Perform hardware-in-the-loop testing and validate subsystem, end-to-end, and external-system integrations.
- Test RF detection, direction finding, geolocation, EMCON monitoring, spectrum awareness, signal classification, and real-time processing capabilities.
- Validate GPU-accelerated digital signal processing and machine learning-based antenna calibration algorithms.
- Plan and execute laboratory, outdoor field, customer demonstration, and operational evaluation testing.
- Document test configurations, environmental conditions, results, anomalies, defects, regressions, corrective actions, and verification evidence.
- Analyze performance trends and improve test methodologies, automation coverage, product quality, and mission readiness.
Requirements
- At least three years of SDET or software QA engineering experience, ideally in defense, RF, or embedded systems.
- Experience developing and maintaining automated test suites using Python, Rust, or similar languages against REST or GraphQL APIs.
- Experience writing and executing functional and integration test plans for complex, multi-component systems.
- Experience with field or outdoor hardware/software validation, including vehicle-mounted or field-deployed configurations.
- Experience with Linux-based systems such as RHEL or Rocky and familiarity with Docker containerized environments.
- Experience testing or operating software-defined radio systems or spectrum analysis tools.
- Experience using Jira and GitLab for defect tracking, test management, test coverage, and quality metrics.
- Experience collaborating in Agile/Scrum teams with engineers, product owners, and program managers.
- Preferred experience with RF signal collection, spectrum analysis, electronic warfare, SIGINT, direction finding, geolocation, or signal characterization.
- Preferred experience testing AI/ML inference pipelines or GPU-accelerated computing with NVIDIA CUDA.
- Preferred experience testing military or government systems against MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, or similar compliance requirements.
- Preferred exposure to JICD 4.2, ISA, or similar defense data standards and interoperability testing.
- Preferred experience with performance and stress testing of real-time data processing systems.
- An active DoD security clearance at Secret level or above is preferred.
- Preferred experience with unmanned systems, vehicle-mounted sensor platforms, or field-deployed tactical equipment.
