Base Salary

$131k - $196k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop and debug portable C software for embedded firmware, host utilities, GUIs, regression systems, and simulation infrastructure.
  • Design scalable, maintainable, and mergeable software changes and participate in code reviews and design processes.
  • Manage Jira issue-tracking tickets and follow team coding and design guidelines.
  • Perform cross-vendor interoperability testing, debugging, standards-compliance troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
  • Create embedded software development, debugging, evaluation, diagnostic, and test utilities.
  • Develop test infrastructure, test-data analysis tools, and test scripts.

Requirements

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering and 4+ years of experience.
  • Strong C and Python programming, debugging, and testing skills.
  • Knowledge of embedded microprocessors, including ARM Cortex.
  • Experience with Git source control and build/release procedures.
  • Preferred experience with state-machine-based embedded C architecture, digital signal processing firmware, boot loaders, RTOS implementation, and the full embedded firmware development cycle.
  • Preferred experience with Python GUI development, Ethernet protocols, physical-layer devices, and Verilog.
  • Preferred hardware troubleshooting experience using oscilloscopes, ICE, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, methodical debugging, and root-cause analysis skills.
