Responsibilities
- Design and build reusable, scalable full-stack web applications using Dash and Python.
- Develop Python backend services with Pandas and other libraries for data transformations, pipelines, and business logic.
- Create intuitive and responsive interfaces that help stakeholders explore data and derive insights.
- Integrate AI/ML models into production web applications while considering scalability and performance.
- Write clean, tested, documented, and maintainable code and participate in version control, code reviews, and deployment pipelines.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, product managers, and developers to refine requirements and deliver production software.
Requirements
- Be currently enrolled in at least the third year of a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related program at a Canadian university.
- Have at least 8 months of completed co-op or internship experience in software development, web development, or data engineering.
- Demonstrate strong Python proficiency and experience building production applications.
- Have advanced experience with Pandas for data manipulation and transformation.
- Understand web application architecture, design principles, SQL, and relational databases.
- Demonstrate curiosity about data, strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and commitment to maintainable code.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly and collaborate effectively in a development team.
- Preferred qualifications include Dash or similar framework experience, frontend experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or React, familiarity with AI/ML concepts and libraries, testing and CI/CD knowledge, Git experience, data warehouse or enterprise data systems knowledge, and exposure to AWS, Azure, GCP, or Docker.
