Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design and develop embedded firmware and specifications for power tools, brushless DC motor controls, lithium-ion battery management systems, and battery chargers.
- Implement and validate electronic designs through software development, testing, and simulation.
- Develop software verification and validation procedures using unit and integration tests.
- Provide technical leadership toward cost, performance, and quality objectives for electronic systems, components, and sub-assemblies.
- Develop solutions for electronic-system issues, translate customer requirements into software specifications, and maintain project documentation.
- Debug embedded systems and collaborate with cross-functional engineering, product management, and operations teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering from an accredited college.
- Knowledge of developing embedded 8-bit, 16-bit, or 32-bit microcontrollers in C.
- Understanding of microcontroller peripherals including timers, GPIO, watchdogs, ADC, UART, and DMA.
- Strong understanding of real-time processing, process scheduling, cooperative multitasking, interrupt processing, race conditions, and RTOS concepts.
- Preferred experience with ARM architectures, assembly language, closed-loop control, feedback systems, lithium-ion battery-powered systems, and sensored or sensorless trapezoidal motor control.
- Familiarity with software development controls and practices including static analysis, unit testing, bug tracking, debugging, and in-circuit debugging.
