Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, refactor, and optimize Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
- Implement scalable and maintainable features using Clean Architecture and modern Android development practices.
- Integrate native Android capabilities including NFC, Bluetooth, and Camera SDKs.
- Troubleshoot application issues and performance bottlenecks.
- Participate in architecture discussions, technical decision-making, code reviews, and software development lifecycle activities.
- Collaborate with iOS engineers, QA specialists, backend developers, product stakeholders, and the customer’s agile product organization.
- Support CI/CD, engineering automation, code quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of commercial Android development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and modern Android development practices.
- Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, Flow, Retrofit, and the Android SDK.
- Experience with MVVM, Clean Architecture, dependency injection, unit testing, Mockito, and JUnit.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.
- Ability to independently drive feature development and technical solutions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills; intermediate or higher English proficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred: experience with Java, XML, Android Data Binding, legacy Android modernization, XML-to-Jetpack Compose migration, Navigation Compose, CI/CD pipelines, release automation, scripting, process automation, AI-assisted engineering tools, or published Android applications.
