Base Salary
$200k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead architecture and design for core Conductor services with a focus on scalability, resiliency, and performance.
- Solve complex distributed-systems challenges and influence near-term delivery and long-term technical direction.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver high-impact features.
- Mentor engineers, improve team practices, and promote technical excellence.
- Champion open-source contributions and community adoption for Conductor.
- Evaluate and introduce technologies, frameworks, and tooling for distributed computing.
- Establish coding, testing, observability, and operational-readiness best practices.
- Lead large cross-team technical initiatives from inception through delivery and align engineering work with business strategy and customer needs.
Requirements
- Deep backend engineering experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Proven experience architecting large-scale distributed systems and event-driven applications.
- Expertise with REST, gRPC, asynchronous messaging systems, and cloud-native architectures.
- Experience leading large, cross-team technical initiatives.
- Strong technical mentorship, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure is helpful.
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes is helpful.
- Familiarity with API design, REST, GraphQL, event-driven architectures, and messaging systems is helpful.
