Base Salary

$200k - $260k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead architecture and design for core Conductor services with a focus on scalability, resiliency, and performance.
  • Solve complex distributed-systems challenges and influence near-term delivery and long-term technical direction.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver high-impact features.
  • Mentor engineers, improve team practices, and promote technical excellence.
  • Champion open-source contributions and community adoption for Conductor.
  • Evaluate and introduce technologies, frameworks, and tooling for distributed computing.
  • Establish coding, testing, observability, and operational-readiness best practices.
  • Lead large cross-team technical initiatives from inception through delivery and align engineering work with business strategy and customer needs.

Requirements

  • Deep backend engineering experience with Java and Spring Boot.
  • Proven experience architecting large-scale distributed systems and event-driven applications.
  • Expertise with REST, gRPC, asynchronous messaging systems, and cloud-native architectures.
  • Experience leading large, cross-team technical initiatives.
  • Strong technical mentorship, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure is helpful.
  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes is helpful.
  • Familiarity with API design, REST, GraphQL, event-driven architectures, and messaging systems is helpful.
