Lead Software Engineer - Active Directory

- Lead resiliency design reviews and act as technical lead for medium- to large-sized products.
- Improve application and platform reliability, stability, scalability, performance, and service levels using data-driven analysis.
- Define service level indicators, service level objectives, error budgets, and stakeholder expectations.
- Serve as the main technical contact during major incidents and troubleshoot issues to minimize business impact.
- Drive automation, toil reduction, operational readiness, and reuse-first AI-assisted reliability workflows across the software development lifecycle and toolchain.
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and knowledge sharing to other engineers.
- Evaluate AI-assisted operational recommendations, establish team guardrails, and ensure resiliency, security, traceability, and auditability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or a related discipline.
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least five years of applied experience.
- Strong knowledge of site reliability practices, reliability, scalability, performance, security, enterprise architecture, and toil reduction.
- Fluency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java with Spring Boot, .NET, or PowerShell.
- Experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to support SRE workflows, including incident investigation and knowledge capture.
- Ability to validate AI-assisted recommendations, assess operational risk, and define appropriate usage guardrails.
- Experience with observability, white- and black-box monitoring, service-level-objective alerting, and telemetry collection.
- Expertise in CI/CD practices, automation tooling, containerized application deployment, and orchestration platforms.
- Experience troubleshooting common networking technologies and issues.
- Preferred: deep IAM expertise including Microsoft ADFS and Active Directory, Microsoft ecosystem knowledge, Linux environments, proxy technologies, and monitoring tools including Splunk, Grafana, Databricks, and Netcool.
- Preferred: experience managing large environments and change-controlled deployments.
